May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month and it's the perfect time to host our biggest FUNdraiser event - the Gray Matters Foundation Annual Basket Raffle on Saturday May 20th, 2023.
This year we are celebrating our founder's 25th Tumorversary! She's "Stayin' Alive at 25!" (Ah-ah-ah-ah! Stayin’ alive! Stayin’ alive!) We hope that you can join us at our event and celebrate in person! Get the EVENT details here
For those of you who are out of state or unable to attend, we greatly appreciate your support by donating to this campaign. Each donation helps us Sponsor a Basket, allowing us to share Brain Buddie stories and spread awareness about brain tumors and cancer.
About our Annual Basket Raffle
Our Basket Raffle is the highlight of our year. Its purpose is to spread awareness by sharing brain cancer stories through themed baskets that are created to honor survivors or in memory of those who have passed.
Each Raffle Basket represents a brain cancer patient - a Brain Buddie. Our Baskets are a chance for Brain Buddies and their families to share their stories. It’s a tangible way for others to get to know those touched by brain cancer by representing who they are other than their diagnosis.
Some baskets are celebrations for survivors and are themed around activities they enjoy, like “Movie Nights” or “Family Game Night”. Others are built around some of the favorite things of a loved one who has passed, such as Lanette’s “Grandma Kirk’s Donut Basket”. Other baskets are just for fun from family, friends, or local businesses who wish to show their support for Gray Matters Foundation.
All of our baskets have a story and all are meaningful and full of love.
Our baskets are generously donated by families and businesses and participants purchase raffle tickets. We raffle off the baskets and the 100% of the proceeds go to the Gray Matters Foundation to help fund our patient support programs throughout the year.
